Disc golf is golf with a frisbee, also known as a disc. You throw from a tee towards a metal basket with chains. You then continue throwing from the spot where your disc has landed, until it ends up in the basket.

Every throw counts. Whoever completes all holes with the lowest number of throws wins. As a beginner, you simply play with one disc.

You do not need to bring your own frisbee. As a hotel guest, you can rent a frisbee at the reception of ibis Tilburg for a round of disc golf in Stadsbos013. When renting, you will receive our bilingual game instructions and scorecards, so you can get started right away:

• Scorecard for the full 18-hole course

• Space for the scores of up to five players

The Discgolf013 course is located in Stadsbos013, at Bredaseweg 560 in Tilburg, near Villa Vredelust and Rugby Club Tilburg. The course is public and free to access. Among the trees, you play varied holes where distance, direction, and skill come together.

You can choose from two rounds. The beginner’s round consists of holes 2 through 9, followed by hole 18, and takes about 75 minutes. The full round includes holes 1 through 18 and takes about 2 hours.

Playing time depends on your pace, your experience, and how busy the course is. Play in groups of no more than five people. Are you with more people? Then divide your party into smaller groups.

Combine your round of disc golf with a bike ride from ibis Tilburg. We provide free bikes for our hotel guests. To use them, use the MyHotelBike Smart Lock app, which lets you open and close the bike lock.

Here’s how to set off:

1. Download the app on your phone before you leave.
2. Check in at reception for a bike, your frisbee, and the game instructions.
3. Get help activating the bike and finding the route to the course.
4. Cycle to Stadsbos013, play your round, and then return the bike and the rented frisbee to the hotel.

Stadsbos013 is also a place for walkers, cyclists and other visitors. Always look before you throw and wait until the route is clear.
